Search the live literature, not a snapshot

Six public APIs, no keys and no paywall. Queries are scoped to title and abstract rather than full text, because a full-text hit on Curcuma in a reference list is not evidence of anything. Everything retrieved is then passed through an interaction-vocabulary gate: a paper is admitted only if it actually describes an interaction, not merely because it names a plant and a drug in the same abstract. What survives is ranked against an eight-level evidence hierarchy, so a randomised trial outranks a review that cites it.

Mechanism being tested

Diuretics PD-additive + electrolyte-mediated

Aquaretic and saluretic botanicals add to renal potassium and sodium loss. Anthraquinone laxatives compound this through colonic potassium loss, and glycyrrhizin causes mineralocorticoid-like retention of sodium with kaliuresis.

Expected clinically: Hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, dehydration, muscle weakness, cramps, arrhythmia; potentiation of digoxin toxicity through low potassium.

Retrieved records

Records are ranked by the local hierarchy, not by relevance as the upstream service judges it. Nothing here is written to the knowledge base until a signed-in curator attaches it to a monograph, which keeps retrieval and curation as separate steps.
